MEXICO SUCCESS STORY
  Gender Initiative & the Cisco Networkers Conference in Mexico

The Cisco Learning Institute sponsored seven female Cisco Networking Academy Program students, in recognition for their outstanding academic performance, to attend the Cisco Networkers conference in Mexico City in September, 2002. These students included Andrea Anzaldo from the Technological University of Queretaro, Nadialy Montes and Silvia Casasola from Centro de Estudios Lomas, Rocio Vilchis from Cuautitlan Izcalli University, and Hilda Dema, Iraiz Zonuga and Alicia Martinez of the Technological University of Valle del Mezquital.

Marianne Siemietkowski Needham, International Program Manager/CLI and Aurora Salgado, Project Coordinator of the Program in Mexico, with the 7 girls invited to Networkers


Marianne Siemietkowski Needham, International Program Manager of Cisco Learning Institute, presented on the Cisco/CLI Gender Initiative. She also had the opportunity to share and listen to the experiences of the seven sponsored female students.

Aurora Salgado, Project Coordinator, distributed gender posters to all Networking Academy program instructors.

CLI extends an enormous congratulations to Veronica Tostado and her team for the success and professionalism in which they organized the Networking Academy program day during Networkers Mexico 2002.
